Grab ya gals or come as you are and join us for a beginners hunter/gatherer charter out from Whitianga together with Arataki Dive!
Salt Aotearoa will host you for a fun, relaxing, stress free, oceanic hunter/gatherer charter.
This trip is designed for wāhine who have some experience with freediving (beginner level is great!)and are keen to get into oceanic hunting and gathering. We provide a safe and supportive environment for you to learn and grow in your confidence in the moana. We will start with a hunter/gatherer workshop on land, then take you out on the moana to some nice sheltered areas where you will be free to put your skills into action at your own pace and hopefully come home with a feed!
This is for our wāhine only :)
We will aim to leave at around 7.30am and return at around 4pm.
Join us for one day, or make it a weekend warrior combo and come for both days and see your confidence flourish.
Rental: We can provide rental wetsuits, masks & snorkels, and fins $40/day (limited sizes available so please enquire first).
You will need to bring your own: Kai, water, and freedive/spearfishing gear.
Optional extras: Add on a breathhold workshop the morning before or morning after at The Lost Springs Thermal Pools to make it a fully immersive weekend away!
