Dates: 20th–22nd Nov 2025
Price: $2300 per person ($700 non-refundable deposit required to secure your spot) We have customisable payment plans available too!
Accom: Private bush retreat in Whitianga with our own swimming hole

Thursday will be our pool based sesssion in Auckland before heading off the Whitianga for the rest of the weekend!

We are bringing our annual camp to our home turf and couldn't be more excited to host you in our own blue backyard!

Already a freediver but want to get certified? Still new to freediving and want to improve your technique? Been freediving for yonks but need to unlearn bad habits or be supported to safely get deeper? Come get SSI certified with Salt Aotearoa and enjoy the camp vibes and our wāhine tribe! 

We are so stoked to finally be bringing this trademark camp back home, to host you in Whitianga and out on the moana around Ahuahu/Great Merucry and the surrounding islands. This place is truely special to us and we couldn't be more proud or excited to welcome you to the place we get to call home. 

    Before you book

    You must be 18+  

    You must identify as wahine/ a woman 

    You must agree to the medical consent terms before checkout — it’s required for all Salt experiences. If you have any medical conditions or recent health issues that could affect your ability to freedive safely (including heart or respiratory problems, recent surgery, dizziness, fainting, or ongoing illness), please get in touch.

    By purchasing a ticket you are consenting to the terms and conditions outlined in this product description and as specified under our T&Cs.

    Experience Required

    To do the “SSI Freediver” you don’t need any prior freedive experience! We take you from zero to hero!

    To do the SSI Advanced course you need to have already completed the “Freediver” course 

    What to bring
    • Your personal dive gear:  weights, weight-belt, long fins, freedive wetsuit, dive socks and gloves are advised to keep you warm. 
    • Your own extra snacks or fave drinks 
    • Water bottle
    • Transport too and from Whitianga. We will take care of you from there

    Cancellations & Refunds

    Salt Aotearoa may need to cancel a trip or event if weather or other unforeseen circumstances make it unsafe to run. If this happens before departure, you can choose a full refund or rebook for another date. Please note that we’re unable to offer refunds if you cancel or don’t arrive on time for your trip.
